Scopely is a billion-dollar interactive entertainment company, video game developer and publisher.

Scopely sought to launch their new Scrabble web game based on the iconic Scrabble boardgame, licensed from Hasbro and Mattel. The game had zero web presence and needed high amounts of traffic at launch.

We collaborated with tech, product, and marketing teams across Scopely to implement onsite SEO best-practices, build domain authority from own and earned backlinks, develop a weekly content schedule, consult on media spend, and build a complete analytics dashboard to measure marketing effectiveness.

The Outcome

The Outcome

In one month after launch, we occupied both the top ad spot and organic spot for the keyword and phrases for Scrabble. Our analytics dashboard ingested Google analytics data, custom bottom tags across the game site, and Google Search Console data.

In the first several months, we measured 40,000 plays, 100,000 new users, and an average session duration of over 6 minutes, monthly! Ultimately, our SEO work drove over half a million players to the game.
