Alone Together Music Video - Wake the Wild

Wake the Wild released their new single, Alone Together, in the midst of the Covid-19 shutdown. Timely, catchy, and relevant, I pitched the band to make a music video around the creative concept of a ZOOM virtual concert.

We planned, shot, directed, edited, and marketed the video entirely remotely using video conferencing software. I produced and directed the entire project from start to finish, including a campaign to drive views to the video. Steve Stanton edited the project.

In one week, the music video experiment resulted in over 50k views, over 1.5k hours of watch time, and a 60% audience retention rate. After production, The Ad Council used it as a PSA to encourage social distancing during the lockdown.

In order to pitch the band’s video to journalists and sponsors, I created custom collateral under direction of the band. All collateral was branded within the band’s logo, style, and colors.

Along with support from the band’s and Ad Council’s social channels, I built a targeted campaign designed to serve the music video to audiences with affinity for similar bands. Our ad retention rate was near 60% - blowing past YouTube benchmarks and averaging a $.01 CPV.
